Our summer schools are inclusive and fun, and give children the skills to successfully integrate into a larger secondary school environment.
They will experience their chosen school before first term begins, meeting new teachers in a friendly atmosphere, with current pupils as mentors to help them settle in.

STEPS UP is a unique service for families. Unlike other providers, Steps Up has been set up by teachers to enhance and enrich the provision that schools already offer their communities.
STEPS UP believes that children should be provided with enriching opportunities and experiences that promote physical, emotional and social well- being.
The welfare and safety of your child is our primary concern. Our summer schools are managed and run by qualified teachers from your local secondary school.
Prepare your child for secondary school
See us in action
We run one and two week programmes to prepare your child for their next step in education. Each summer school venue will replicate the normal school day so children get used to the school timetable, as well as moving around the school In between lessons.
Students take part in a range of activities which are exciting but also help them develop key skills across the curriculum.
Our programmes are flexible. You can book for one or two weeks … or just odd days.
James has had an amazing few days this week, he’s loved every minute and it’s really helped with making him feel more confident in starting school next month. The thought and effort that’s gone into creating activities that are fun but also safe in the current circumstances is amazing. The whole team should be really proud of what they’ve done so far!
